We can all agree that what happened in Hiroshima was a travesty, but what was left in the aftermath is very interesting.
Pointed out by my lecturer, the blast itself left shadows of certain things. There has been shadows of people, fences, pipes, bikes etc, but I find this image the most haunting.
I am really interested in how peoples reactions can be ‘absorbed’ into something, how they can attach themselves to things through knowledge/experience/emotion.
People get upset viewing these images (understanably), others don’t as they see it as historic art, which is also very interesting to me.
